Kaede is part of the "Gene Eden" sprite series.

A long-time childhood friend of Kim, he willingly acts as her bodyguard and care-taker. Kaede puts her well-being above everyone else's, never letting his emotions cloud his judgement. As such, he often clashes with the rest of the group (mainly Maris and Uriah).
